Pre-Purchase Exam

The examination is not meant to guarantee the animal's soundness but to see if there are any pre-existing issues or potential problems that may affect the animal now or in the future. One of the main issues to check for is degenerative joint disease, which we can identify through radiographs and ultrasounds.

Equine Digital Radiography

Digital radiography (x-ray)  has revolutionized Equine Medicine. Now, we can quickly and easily diagnose potential causes of lameness and bone abnormalities with less stress on your horse. We also perform balance radiographs to increase accuracy during shoeing and hoof care.

Joint Injections

It is important to consult with your veterinarian when you see signs of joint disease. Some signs include joint swelling, heat, lameness, or reduced ability to perform. Intra-articular injections have been shown to be effective in horses, as their primary objective is to reduce inflammation. We can perform joint injections with steroids, hydrogel, A2M, and PRP to provide regenerative and pain-relieving effects.

Ultrasound

Ultrasound is a quick and painless procedure. It uses sound waves to allow us to see inside your horse and evaluate fibril patterns that are not visible on radiographs.

Our state-of-the-art equipment lets us diagnose and treat your horses quickly and efficiently.

Shockwave & Laser Therapy

Shockwave/Laser Therapy can accelerate healing and improve the repair, regeneration, and remodeling of tissue in horses. Some uses for laser therapy are wound healing, pain management, tendon/ligament injuries, muscle tears, neurologic injuries, and stimulation of acupuncture points. Our informational videos provide more information on lasering techniques.
